From photographers who switched
Don't Just Take Our Word For It.
I've never been able to push out an image over FTP. Sideline Live worked on the first try after just a few minutes of setup.
"Awesome piece of software."
"I used Sideline for an MLS game recently, and it was absolutely amazing. I was super impressed how quick and accurate the captions were. I used the IPTC template that I created and applied it upon import, so there was no need for me to use Photo Mechanic whatsoever. Sideline has become an indispensable tool for me. Keep up the excellent work!"
Frequently Asked Questions
Good Questions, Straight Answers.
Short answers before you switch.
Why choose Sideline Live over DeadlineFTP?
Same camera FTP as DeadlineFTP — plus galleries that stay, AI captions, 1.6M+ athlete rosters, and photo sales. $14.99/month. DeadlineFTP deletes photos after 24 hours and bills extra cameras as extra seats.
Do Sideline galleries expire after 24 hours?
No. DeadlineFTP deletes photos after 24 hours. Sideline includes 10GB so galleries stay — long enough to caption, share, or sell.
Can I crop and color-correct in the Sideline browser gallery?
Not in the web gallery. Browser crop is a DeadlineFTP strength. Sideline is live delivery, AI captions, rosters, sales, and outbound FTP from the Mac app. If in-browser toning is the only job, they may fit better.
What's included in the free trial?
14 days of Sideline Live, captions, rosters, tethering, and Wire. Cancel anytime. DeadlineFTP's trial is 7 days.
Who is DeadlineFTP better for?
DeadlineFTP fits if the only job is a remote editor cropping in a browser during the game. Sideline is better if you also need captions, rosters, sales, or files tomorrow. See our For Teams page for multi-photographer setups.
