Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

Sideline Captions wants people with disabilities to be able to use our website, live photo galleries, and apps. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which is the standard most often used to judge whether digital products are accessible.

This page explains what we cover, where we still have gaps, and how to tell us if something is in the way.

2. What this statement covers

This statement applies to:

  • Our website — sidelinecaptions.com, including help, pricing, checkout, and the sports roster generator
  • Sideline Live — photographer dashboards and public photo galleries
  • Sideline Captions for Mac and Windows — the desktop captioning app
  • Sideline Local for iPhone and iPad
  • Sideline Live for iPhone and iPad

3. Conformance status

WCAG has three levels: A (minimum), AA (the usual target), and AAA (enhanced). Our goal is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

We have not finished a full third-party audit of every page and app screen, so we currently describe our status as partially conformant: some parts meet the standard, and some parts still need work. We will update this page as we improve things.

4. What we already do

  • Mark pages with a language so screen readers can read them correctly
  • Provide a “Skip to main content” link on marketing pages
  • Keep visible keyboard focus styles on new pages
  • Label images and buttons as we add or redesign them
  • Test new website work with keyboard navigation and, on Mac, VoiceOver

5. Known limitations

These are the main gaps we know about today:

  • Interactive tools. The roster generator, Sideline Live dashboards, and some live galleries may still be hard to use with a keyboard or screen reader.
  • Desktop and iOS apps. These are built for a photography workflow. Not every control is fully labeled yet for VoiceOver, Narrator, or TalkBack.
  • Videos. Some tutorial videos on our help pages may not have captions.
  • Third-party tools. Payment checkout (Stripe), call scheduling (Cal.com), sign-in protections (Google reCAPTCHA), YouTube embeds, and Apple App Store purchase screens are run by other companies. Their accessibility is outside our direct control.
  • Older pages. Some older marketing or gallery pages may still have low contrast, missing labels, or small tap targets.

If you run into any of these, please tell us. We would rather hear about a problem than have you stuck.

6. Compatibility

Our website is intended to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with common assistive technology such as VoiceOver (Mac and iPhone), NVDA or JAWS (Windows), and TalkBack (Android).

Some features need JavaScript. If you turn JavaScript off, you can still read this statement and our other policy pages, but forms, checkout, and live galleries may not work.

7. Feedback

If you have trouble using our website, galleries, or apps because of a disability, please tell us:

Please include the page or app screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using if you know it. We aim to reply within five business days.

8. Changes

We may update this statement as we fix issues or add products. The “Last updated” date at the top is the current version.
